Lithgow, Katoomba and Jenolan Caves

Lithgow is a village in the Blue Mountains. We stayed during a heat wave. Temps were in the low 30s. Normally the weather is in the low to mid 20s.

I convinced Mr P to drive on a dirt road, much to his annoyance, to reach Hassans Walls Lookout. It was more than worth it.

The next day we headed into Katoomba's Scenic World. It was very busy and all of the rides were booked out until the early afternoon - great news for the area's tourism trade. We got a shot of the famous Three Sisters.

We headed out onto the bush track but didn't get too far in the heat and Miss P and my inappropriate shoe choices.

The boys managed to make it the waterfall and cliff face.

Next we headed to the Jenolan Caves. The road was narrow and challenging when facing a large vehicle coming the other way.

The Caves were busy with tourists but we hung around a few hours to go on a guided tour.

Master P loved the Caves and said it was the highlight of the trip. Despite the 30 degree temps outside, the cave's 16 degree temperature was a relief.

Until next time xx
